Copyright and disclosure policy of Faces of Frackland
April 2010

This blog is a collaborative blog written by two individuals.

It takes a bit of time, gas money, and effort to do firstperson interviews and create original content. Occassionally we accept meals. We are not compensated for this work.

All the pictures on the site are the work of Hannah Abelbeck or Elizabeth Berkowitz unless otherwise noted. The content on this blog belongs to the individuals we interview and secondarily to us.

We try to be careful about getting permission from individuals we name.

We’ve put the blog under a creative commons license. If you are a person, and you are not receiving money for your work, you may reuse and remix our content WITH ATTRIBUTION. Corporations, for-profit entities, or those who would make money from our work are not to use it.

We try not to insinuate, demonize, or print rumors. But we are not writing objectively as in a news story; we’re helping people that lack the skills, time, equipment, or web-based audience share their stories and perspectives. We try to verify their stories to some extent, but the things they’ve experienced are not necessarily documented elsewhere, documented yet, or documented accurately. We consider their free speech vital and protected.

This blog does not accept any form of advertising, sponsorship, or paid insertions. We write for our own purposes. However, we may be influenced by our background, occupation, political affiliation and experience.

Advertising will never influence the content, topics or posts made in this blog. All advertising is in the form of advertisements generated by a third party ad network, in this case WordPress generated advertising appears here in exchange for them hosting our work. We would eventually like to remove it and pay our own way. We receive no money from advertising.

The owners of this blog are not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners’. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic, we will only endorse information, organizations or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation should be verified independently.

The only thing we’re getting back is the satisfaction of seeing how many people looked at the website—and hopefully, the satisfaction of public opinion changing and some of these people getting help.

The owner(s) of this blog would like to disclose the following existing relationships. We are employed by or consult with: Voices of Central Pennsylvania, Wild Asaph Outfitters.
